Thank-you volunteers!
Like all charitable organizations, the Green River Outreach for Wilderness Foundation relies to a great extent on the support of volunteers.
How do our volunteers help?
Volunteers play a major role at Camp GROW in making sure that the campers have the
quality experience they deserve. Volunteers help at the camp, organize fund-raising events and new programs. Volunteers help construct new facilities, and infrastructure. Volunteers do just about everything! Our Volunteer pool is the first resource we look at for potential applicants when a paid position with the foundation becomes available. We are always looking for caring and qualified volunteers and volunteer groups!

All volunteers directly working with youth will complete criminal background checks prior to beginning their term of service and each year there after. They must also agree and submit to pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing throughout their term of service with Camp GROW. All volunteers will participate in a seasonal orientation and training period, not less than one week in length in which specific duties, and policies and procedures are taught.
Groups can also volunteer at Camp GROW. Usually groups are tasked with service projects around the camp facilities. Groups usually volunteer before or after the camp season although, youth groups may inquire about volunteering during camp sessions. If you would like to inquire about how you can become a GROW Volunteer, or staff member please email us. |
